In Anambra, Nigerian Army has launched “Exercise Golden Dawn” to combat terrorism. The Nigerian army has launched ‘Exercise Golden Dawn,’ to put end to gunmen attacks and provide security in Anambra State.
This was made public by the Commander 302 Artillery Regiment (General Support) Col. Abdulkarim Usman, on Monday. According to Usman the operation “Exercise Golden Dawn” will help to combat insecurity in the state and foster inter agency cooperation.
The Commander also said the exercise Golden Dawn would include routine training in various South-East states.
In his words he said, “The military will use the opportunity in conjunction with other security agencies to curb the existing security threats in Anambra State.
“The threats range from secessionist agitations, by the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra to the Indigenous People of Biafra, and Eastern Security Network.
“Others are banditry, kidnapping, cult activities, land disputes clashes, communal clashes, chieftaincy issues, assassinations and youths restiveness. To curb these countless security challenges, a robust posture is what the unit has always maintained.
